The MK Dons are on the brink of promotion to the National League 1; and hopefully will have succeeded by the time of our breakfast! So, what better time to invite him to speak to us? Neil will tell us about his journey to Milton Keynes and his and the owners’ vision for the future of professional football in our city. This is one not to miss!
Neil Hart is the Chief Executive Officer of Milton Keynes Dons Football Club and the wider Stadium MK Group, overseeing the strategic and day to day operations of the group and its associated commercial activities. He was appointed CEO in September 2024 following the club’s change in ownership to a Kuwaiti consortium led by Chairman, Fahad Al Ghanim.
Neil joined MK Dons from Bolton Wanderers, where he spent three years as Chief Executive and played a pivotal role in stabilising operations, increasing season ticket sales and securing record commercial and sponsorship agreements. His leadership at Bolton was recognised nationally when he was named League One CEO of the Year at the 2023 Football Business Awards for his work in driving revenue growth, improving fan engagement and strengthening relationships with supporters.
Prior to his time at Bolton, Neil spent almost a decade at Burnley FC, including serving as Chief Executive during the club’s time in the Premier League. While at Turf Moor, he was instrumental in both football and community development, leading Burnley FC in the Community to national recognition for its education, sport and social impact programmes across Lancashire. His earlier career in football included roles at Watford FC and Luton Town, where he began his professional journey.
