We are delighted to be joined by Kate Broadhurst, Chief Executive of Willen Hospice, as our guest speaker. 

Kate joined the Hospice early last year after a remarkable 23-year career at the John Lewis Partnership, where she led several multi-million-pound department store businesses and undertook strategic leadership roles at Head Office.

Kate's connection to Milton Keynes runs deep—not only is she a resident, but she has also contributed significantly through various voluntary roles and her leadership at Willen Hospice reflects her passion for serving the local community. The Hospice provides vital care to those in need, both onsite and directly in people’s homes. However, as one of the most poorly funded hospices in the country, Willen Hospice relies heavily on the generosity of local donors to bridge an £8.7 million funding gap, with only 13.8% of its running costs covered by the NHS.

At the breakfast event, Kate will share her inspiring transition from corporate to charity leadership—a decision she regards as "the best decision I ever made." She will also discuss her vision for the future of Willen Hospice and its invaluable role within the Milton Keynes community.
