As a Non-Executive Chair of East West Rail, Mr Sachdev is joining us following the recent announcement of a preferred route section between Bedford and Cambridge of the £5bn railway line which will connect Oxford and Cambridge. The new proposal brings us one step closer to the creation of the line which will not only provide better connectivity across the arc but stimulate economic growth.

Improving connections between the powerhouses of Oxford and Cambridge will strengthen Milton Keynes’ position as a business hub at the heart of the arc. Consequently, this latest development has been welcomed by business leaders across the city and we are extremely grateful that Mr Sachdev is taking the time to speak to our members at our next dinner.

As well as overseeing the delivery of the new direct rail link between Oxford and Cambridge, Mr Sachdev is also Chair of the HM Land Registry Board, Chairman of the Defence Infrastructure Organisation Board for the Ministry of Defence, and a Non-Executive Director of Network Rail Property Limited.
